Ulladulla is now on the food map. Before visitors would go to Banister’s (Mollymook) or take a small trip to Cupitt’s Winery. But now both locals and visitors can take in the stunning view of the harbor whilst enjoying top notch food at Ceto Restaurant. I cannot wait to go back.

IT’S REVIEW TIME!
Exceptional food, amazing view and¬†proficient service- what a combo! Ceto Bar and Restaurant is less than a year old, ¬ in the popular holiday destination- Mollymook/Ulladulla and already is booked out¬†most Fridays and Saturdays. I was looking forward to the dinner as the head chef had a resume to impress- Quay, Est, Rick Stein to name a few, Better still I was not let down!
To start, Mr FYF¬†had the¬†pork belly. Who doesn’t order pork belly when its on the menu! The cooking process ensured that¬†the fat had being rendered away. Only suggestion would be to¬†improve the crackling with more crackle. But fear not, I would order this dish again!

So, jealous as I was of Mr FYF ordering the pork belly (Yes, I kind of insisted he ordered it; so I could try), my tempura zucchini flowers were superb. A light tempura batter, delicious goats cheese and the most important thing- the zucchini’s were cooked to perfection

To the Mains! There was a slight delay of 45mins however the restaurant was quite busy. Mr FYF opted for the barramundi. Considering it was an ocean side town,¬†not ordering seafood would be a sin.¬†¬†It was¬†cooked beautifully- flakey and moist with mouth watering¬†natural flavours. The pickled onions were an added bonus.

I could smell my duck from a mile away. A cinnamon stick was left burning on my plate to ensure both smell and sight was incorporated into the taste. Confit duck and cherries- what a classic combo; there is a reason why it had lasted throughout the years.

Overall what a sensational dinner. I only wished I didn’t have a late lunch and then I could¬†have indulged in their desserts.¬ Oh, well means I’ll have to go back at the end of year.
THE LOCALE, DECOR AND VIBE:
I would highly recommend requesting to be seated upstairs-¬†to take¬†advantage of the spectacular¬†view. A window seat is a must! It can be a little hard to find, make sure you walk to the end of the walkway and volia; its their in corner

Service attentive and friendly. The head waitress knew the details of the wine list which helped to narrow down a good bottle to share (yes only one this time)

The view. This is even better when you watch the sunset over the stunning harbour
The delay on our mains (45mins), however this was rectified when an apology was issued whilst serving: its always better when they acknowledge the delay.
